- Check that the modem initialisation string has M1 in it somewhere. It
- could be that at some time M was set to 2 (speaker always on) and the
- modems internal default settings have never been recalled. Or put L0 in
- to set the speaker volume to 0, if it is still a problem.
- BTW,
- M0 = speaker off
- M1 = speaker on until connect
- M2 = speaker on always.
